A set of configuration defaults that can be maintained by classifier developers through releases and overridden by analysts on the deployed systems.
Network configuration parameters were previously set in the system software. This feature allows for specific configuration of the network to be changed more easily on a per sensor basis.
Perception has always been designed for a general network type, and as a result we find better results on more typical networks, but some unusual technical difficulties on some more ‘creative’ network configurations. Naturally, we want all of our customers to get the most out of the Perception system, so we’ve built in a framework to manually configure each deployment to operate as effectively as possible on all customer networks.
This latest update allows the commissioning engineer to enter network configuration details, and allows them to be modified during deployment if the network changes. As a result, not only do we have outstanding performance on all deployed networks, but customers are also able to make minor or major network architecture modifications without fear of performance losses from their Perception service.
This update is sensor based, and will be pushed to all managed customers at the pre-agreed upgrade time. Self-monitored customers can update their own sensors using the software upgrade process. Due to the nature of this upgrade, it is recommended that you contact our service team to make sure your Perception system is correctly configured.
